Advocacy & Support

Advocacy  and Support for Douglas and Jefferson County for the survivor at the hospital during the sexual assault examination, police interview and court appointments.

• Oversight of the Douglas County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) a collaboration ensuring that sexual crimes against children and adults are investigated and the survivors are cared for.
  

• Collaboration with SRS Orientation, Assessment, Referral and Safety (OARS) helping survivors formulate a safety plan and receive community services.
  

• Therapeutic Services: The Chrysalis Project: FREE Individual and group counseling and Empowerment groups for all ages and populations exploring healing and transformation through art, writing and other creative forms including Art & Conversationand The Sedna Project for students at Haskell Indian Nations University.
